Renee is an unconventional second grade classroom teacher in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She has successfully integrated all content areas of the CCSS into her STEM classroom. Last year, she piloted flexible seating in her classroom and has found tremendous success in implementation.

Renee holds the titles of Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Launch Master Teacher and Launch Lead Teacher for her district. She also sits on her district’s Innovation Council, School Improvement Committee and Technology Cohort.

Renee’s previous titles include PTO president, social worker, and ELA/math interventionist. Renee remains the Director of Children’s Ministries at her church and facilitator of Love and Logic parenting classes.

Renee has shared her pedagogy with her district staff, at the PLTW Michigan State and National Conferences, and at her state educator’s technology conferences! Renee shares her passion for education with those around her and is recognized as a leader in her field.

Renee, her husband, and their three children reside in Stevensville, Michigan.
